Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays to get creative as a vegan chef because it features the theme of
love and the opportunity to use aphrodisiac ingredients like avocados,
asparagus, dates and of course... chocolate. What better way to show
someone how much you love them than by cooking a fabulous meal for them?
On the way to a great recipe, there are often a lot of disasters. I
don’t usually highlight my recipe failures, however I decided to share
my Vegan Molten Lava Cake recipe creation process with you. A lot of
work goes into coming-up with one of my new recipes.
Whenever I think of a dessert filled with love, it always has chocolate and strawberries in it. Strawberry Chocolate Chip Ice Cream that Day and I used to share at Friendly's back in the day, Chocolate Covered Strawberries that I made last Valentine's Day.
Thanks to Ancient Harvest Quinoa rotelle for another perfect pasta for
my recipe. Beef Stroganoff is one of Shawn's favorite dishes so I
thought I'd give it a try. The result? Absolutely delicious. Perhaps
too delicious, as we both devoured the entire meal (second helpings).
Savory Gluten-Free Spinach Quiche is made with a delicious Savory Gluten-Free Shortcrust
recipe, adapted from a recipe by Master Baker Avner Laskin. This is a
terrific, and, believe it or not, easy gluten-free recipe for special
occasion brunches.
Chia seeds so yummy! Have you ever used them? They are high in Omega’s and when they are gelled they become a wonderful gelatinous fiber, that works as an intestinal scrubber. Chia seeds also do not contain any estrogen like flax seeds. They are such a wonderful addition to your diet.
This is a rat interesting recipe, to say the least, but I think you'll like it :-) I love chia seeds, especially in my oats & smoothies so discovering another way to use them is exciting!
